Rob Brown - Committee Member

Professor Rob Brown has worked in education for his entire career, initially as a high school teacher and curriculum developer, then preparing English-language curriculum materials for several years in Japan. Subsequently, for the last three decades he has worked at senior management and executive levels in universities across three Australian states.

He is currently the Associate Vice-President for North Queensland based at CQUniversity in Mackay. He is also the BMA Chair in Automation and Future Work Skills, a jointly funded role with the stated aim to bring people and resources together to unlock and accelerate skills, training and educational outcomes for the Greater Whitsunday communities. He has Masters degrees in Business Administration and Education, and a PhD in Strategic Marketing. He is a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and has served on many Boards and on international university audit panels.

I am a career-long educator, and believe education, skills and training will continue to be at the foundation of the ongoing prosperity and social cohesion of this wonderful Greater Whitsunday region.
