Northern Australia Grants Program Update
The $80 million (GST exclusive) in grant funding has been fully allocated following the first assessment tranche. The Minister for Agriculture and Northern Australia closed the programs on 8 April 2022.
All 30 successful recipients have been publicly announced.
The NADP experienced a high level of demand (196 applications received) with quality applications across a broad range of sectors, particularly the manufacturing, agriculture and aquaculture and health services. Over 10 percent of applications were received from Indigenous organisations.
Many unsuccessful applications will have access to Strengthening Northern Australia Business (SNAB) advisory services.

Kings Quarry Processing Plant Upgrades Incorporating Manufactured Sand
Grant amount: $2,000,000 (GST exc.)
Project description: Purchase new crushing equipment to expand Mobile Crushing's current quarry operations in Mackay. This project will modernise the processing plant, providing the competitive edge necessary to compete with multi-national organisations for local and state tenders, increase productivity, reduce the current levels of worker overtime, and improve environmental outcomes.
